PIWC TarkwaAfter the inauguration of the English Assembly, now PIWC by Apostle J K Essel in January 1994 the desire to put up a church building was overwhelming because of the rather unsuitable nature of the place of worship, namely the St Paul's Nursery School at Tarkwa-na-Aboso.

A big barrier to the fulfilment of this desire was the difficulty in acquiring a building plot. However, at Gods appointed time in 1996, Sister Gladys Blay, then a new convert donated this plot of land where this Church building now stands.

The subsequent years were spent on fund raising, site preparation and block moulding; and in June 1999 the foundation works for the church building commenced with members offering free labour and providing other materials and services at no costs. It is worth mentioning the extraordinary contributions by Elder Charles Kusi-Manu(Tanzania), Elder Stephen Owulaku and Bro George Ackah Wilson. The immense and enthusiastic contribution by members is also worthy of mentioning.
